7 Habits - Be Proactive

7 Habits

This year Apollo is becoming a 7 habits school.  A habit is something that you do over and over again.  You can have bad habits, like biting your nails, or good habits like always being positive.  Throughout the year, we are going to learn about the 7 habits.

Habit 1 - Be Proactive

Being proactive means being nice and helpful.  Proactive starts with the letter "p" just like positive starts with the letter "p".  People who are proactive are positive people.  They take responsibility for themselves, and don't blame others when things don't go their way.  As a class, we are going to try to be more proactive and NOT reactive.  Check out this video to learn the difference being proactive can make.

Bowling

Written by....Mrs. Duke's Class

We went bowling today.  It was fun.  Not only did we get to hang out with our friends from AHS, but our friends from DCHS were there as well.  Almost every student in our class bowled a strike.  Maybe we should be professionals!!!  Okay...well maybe I wouldn't go that far, but we were pretty good.  Check out just a few of our pictures from today.

We can't wait for our next CBI to the Audubon Arts Festival.  Field trips are always fun, plus we get to get out of class!

Too Cool for the First Day of School

I don't know about you, but summer seemed so short this year.  I think it was because we went FOREVER making up all of those snow days!  Getting up for the first day of school can be hard, but we all made it through.  Check out some of our pics from when we were too cool for the first day of school...

Thanks for Popping In

Our back to school meet and greet was a huge success.  A big thank you to all the staff and families that popped in to get the school year started off right.  A special thanks to our furry friend, Hudson, who made the visit as well.  It's going to be a great year at AHS!
