Menu Boards

We put the finishing touches on our Christmas gifts to parents today (thank you Pinterest). Let me say, I am in LOVE with these menu boards. I hope all our parents enjoy them and this encourages the students to have a more active role in their family meal planning.

Wacky Wednesday Week 3

This week was our final week for Christmas themed Wacky Wednesday. In my room we made Christmas cookie bark. Mrs. Roberts room made cinnamon ornaments, and Mrs. Higdon played card bingo. Check it out!

Young Life

Tomorrow is a big day at Apollo High School for our classroom.  Young Life Capernaum has some fun activities planned for us.  It looks like there will be music, dancing, a wrapping game, pies in the face, a photo booth, snowball toss, and much more.  If you aren't familiar with Young Life Capernaum you can refer to the letter sent home last week (posted below).
There is also a cool youtube video that tells more about Young Life.

We are so excited about what this program has to offer our students at Apollo High School.  Keep an eye on the blog.  I'll update with pictures tomorrow.

Wacky Wednesday Week 2

Today we continued our Wacky Wednesday crafts, food, and games.

In my room we played Holiday themed Pictionary. I tell ya....we have some good artists around here!

Check out our craft in Mrs. Higdon's room.

....and some yummy cooking with Mrs. Roberts.

Here are some fun selfies

Wacky Wednesday 1

In the spirit of the holidays, we are having Wacky Wednesdays! Each Wednesday we split the three classes into three groups and rotate through the classrooms. Each group has holiday activities including cooking, crafts, and games. In my class we made Snowman Ornaments, Mrs. Higdon helped the students with chocolate dipped pretzel rods, and Mrs. Roberts class played minute to win it games. Check out how much fun we had.
